Description:Air samples collected in the breathing zone of workers employed at a pure metal processing plant reveal that exposure to cesium (7440462) and rubidium (7440177) and their salts is minor and all exposed employees are asymptomatic. Assays to assess the possible absorption of the metals in the blood and urine yield negative results. The results indicate that the employees show no effects from exposure to cesium and rubidium in their working environment. [Description provided by NIOSH]
