Description:Environmental air sampling and medical evaluation of employees in a chemical processing facility indicate that concentrations of acetone (67641), methyl ethel ketone (78933), methyl cellosolve (109864), and toluene (108883) vapors are not at toxic levels. A reported episode of lightheadedness among employees is attributed to a cleanup operation involving large quantities of methyl ethyl ketone. Recommendations are made for strict adherence to policy of wearing organic solvent vapor respirators during cleanup operations. [Description provided by NIOSH]
