Description:The conditions experienced by railroad employees during presence on the grounds of a rice mill indicates that rice hull dust is not toxic in the concentrations found in the work environment. The environmental exposure of workers to rice hull dust could not be characterized with air sampling data because climate conditions were such that dust levels were too low to provide any useful information. The use of dust respirators is recommended in the presence of high dust levels. [Description provided by NIOSH]
