Description:Investigation of hazards associated with the prophylactic administration of calcium-disodium-versenate (23411349) for controlling potential effects of overexposure to lead (7439921) reveals no health hazard from prolonged oral administration of the compound. Blood lead analyses of employees, medical interviews, and environmental measurements indicate a severe health hazard from exposure to lead. Recommendations are made for reducing lead exposure, including periodic medical examinations, respiratory protective equipment, and control of airborne lead concentrations.
