Description:Medical and environmental evaluation of hazards from vinyl-chloride (75014) monomer in a plant manufacturing polyvinyl chloride pipe reveals a potential carcinogenic hazard in blending room areas of the plant. Air concentrations of vinyl chloride ranging from none detected to 4 parts per million are below the Federal Standard but exceed the none detectable concentration recommended by NIOSH.
