Description:A definite toxic exposure to hot melt adhesive emissions was not identified from the stamp machine which affixes the federal excise stamp to liquor bottles. On occasions, such emissions may, however, result in eye, and upper respiratory tract irritation among a minority of excise stamp machine operators. A mortality study failed to demonstrate any decrease in life expectancy or unusual disease incidence among former employees of the work place.
