Description:Environmental survey of a forge manufacturing hand tools reveals a potential health hazard from vinyl-chloride (75014) gas in the assembly and packing area arising from the vinyl-chloride coating applied to packing containers. It is recommended that airborne concentrations of vinyl-chloride be reduced to non-detectable levels and that exposed employees be required to wear respirators until levels are controlled.
