Description:On the basis of environmental data collected in an area where development work was being performed on a high speed electrophoretic printer, (SIC-2893) it was concluded that a health hazard from exposure to three types of ink could not be identified. No levels of alpha-naphthylamine were detected in any of the environmental samples. Charcoal tube samples also indicated the absence of common aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. Bulk ink samples were analyzed for the percent of alpha-naphthylamine (134327) present in each. [Description provided by NIOSH]
