  A Health Hazard Evaluation investigation was conducted by NIOSH on April 14, 1977, at the workshop of the Glass Detail, in Cincinnati, Ohio, a facility engaged in the production of stained glass windows (SIC-3231). The survey was prompted by a request from the owner of the shop because of alleged upper respiratory irritation, tiredness, and headache manifested by the 2 affected workers. Medical evaluation, consisting of interviews, determination of biochemical indicators and lead (7439921) levels in body fluids, and environmental survey for potential solder and flux emissions, and observation of work practices, indicated that exposure did not pose a health hazard to the employees at the time of the survey. Recommendations are made for maintaining and improving the lack of contamination in the workshop. [Description provided by NIOSH]
