Description:Environmental and medical surveys were conducted on February 6 and 7, 1978 to evaluate the potential hazard associated with employee exposure to an unknown substance in the Solar Energy Demonstration Van belonging to The Franklin Institute Research Labs (SIC-8922) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The evaluation was requested by the employer of two affected employees. The concentrations of airborne contaminants measured during the survey were below the accepted criteria for occupational exposures. The authors conclude that the illnesses experienced by the employees could not be attributed to an occupational exposure to a toxic substance. [Description provided by NIOSH]
