Description:The results of my walk-through survey of the refinery division indicates that an in-depth survey of Allied would not be necessary. Table A clearly shows that the 8-hour time-weighted average airborne concentrations of asbestos does not exceed the present standards of five fibers longer than five (5) micrometers, per cubic centimeter of air. The sound pressure level measurements identified your noise problem areas. Most of these problem areas can be corrected through engineering controls. However, the extremely high sound pressure levels measured during oven cleaning operations could be controlled through administrative techniques and personal protective equipment.
