Description:This report documents findings from a cognitive interview study by CCQDER to be included on the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS). The questions under investigation focused on traumatic brain injury resulting from intimate partner violence. Staff from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), Collaborating Center for Questionnaire Design and Evaluation Research (CCQDER) conducted a cognitive interview evaluation for questions to be included on the National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey (NISVS). This survey is conducted by CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC). The questions under investigation for this project focus on traumatic brain injury resulting from intimate partner violence. The study received both Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and NCHS/CDC Human Subjects approval.
