    This SPR is a baseline report that presents the most current state-level data for 6 indicators and sets the stage for future state-level monitoring of progress in HIV prevention and care. The indicators address areas of HIV prevention and the HIV continuum of care for which state-level data are available: HIV testing (ever), late-stage HIV diagnosis, linkage to HIV medical care, retention in HIV medical care, viral suppression among persons in HIV medical care, and the death rate among persons with diagnosed HIV infection.
