Description:This report summarizes findings from the fifth NHBS data collection among heterosexually active adults at increased risk for HIV infection, which was conducted in 2019; previous years of data on this population (2007, 2010, 2013, 2016) have been published. The report provides descriptive, unweighted data that can be used to describe HIV infection among heterosexually active men and women at increased risk for HIV infection and the percentages reporting specific risk behaviors, HIV testing, and participation in prevention programs. Monitoring these outcomes is useful for assessing risk behaviors and the use of prevention efforts over time and for identifying new HIV prevention opportunities for this population.
