Description:This report provides a summary of NPPTL’s inspection and evaluation methods, and findings for two SCBAs that were used by the Worcester Fire Department fire fighter during a fatal event. The SCBAs were the Scott® Safety Air-Pak® Model 75 4.5, 45 minute, 4500 psi units. The NIOSH Division of Safety Research (NIOSH DSR) and the Worcester Fire Department were advised that NIOSH NPPTL would provide a written report of the investigation and any applicable test results.
