Description:We are pleased to present the FY 2012 Congressional Justification for the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). ATSDR serves the public through responsive public health actions to promote healthy and safe environments and to prevent harmful exposures. ATSDR continues to prevent, determine, and mitigate health effects at sites with toxic exposures, and its successes in doing so across the nation illustrate how funding for ATSDR directly benefits Americans. Just a few of ATSDR’s successes in FY 2010 are highlighted below:
