Description:This report assesses bet available evidence for seven types of public access defibrillation (PAD) interventions addressed by existing state laws. These PAD interventions include targeted AED site placement, training anticipated responders, PAD coordinated with emergency medical services, emergency response plans, routine maintenance and testing of AEDs, ongoing PAD quality improvement and quality assurance monitoring, and limited liability.
