Description:From information collected in a national survey of optometrists conducted by the National Center for Health Statistics, statistics are presented describing features of optometric practice in the United States in 1968. These features include the form and composition of practice arrangements, primary and secondary activities of the practitioners, the range of services that practitioners provided and the numbers and types of supplementary personnel that the optometrist used to assist him in his practice.
