Description:Preventing or addressing the harmful impacts of teen dating violence continues to be a public health concern. Teen dating violence (TDV) is a form of intimate partner violence, which includes physical, sexual, psychological, or emotional violence (including stalking) within a dating relationship. Local communities need effective strategies to identify and address the risk and protective factors to prevent teen dating violence. Although there are a number of public health, clinical, and social interventions to address healthy teen relationships, communities are not always equipped with data to identify the programs that are the best fit to meet their unique teen dating violence prevention needs.
