Description:"This volume reviews the major work-related respiratory diseases in exposure to vegetable and other natural dusts; it points to gaps in knowledge requiring further investigation, advises on best known control measures and provides guidance to research methods that are feasible to undertake in both developing and highly industrialized countries. Most of the chapters contained were reviewed by a joint NIOSH/WHO workshop in Morgantown, West Virginia, USA, in April 1983. Since then, it has received intensive review and editing by specialists in the field and was finally put in a form that is most suitable to occupational health personnel in most countries. The authors of the different chapters represent a reasonable geographic distribution, as was the workshop in West Virginia (list of participants in the Annex). The book also represents one of the many joint activities by WHO and NIOSH in promoting occupational health." - NIOSHTIC-2
