Description:The National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) outlines a national plan for ending the HIV epidemic in the United States by 2030, including a 75% reduction in new HIV infections by 2025 and a 90% reduction by 2030. NHAS includes 4 goals, 2 of which focus on improving HIV-related health outcomes among people with HIV (PWH) and reducing disparities and health inequities among PWH [1]. NHAS underscores the importance of addressing social determinants of health (SDOH) to decrease disparities in HIV clinical outcomes and improve quality
of life among PWH.
In 2022, the NHAS Federal Implementation Plan 2022–2025 expanded the indicators of progress towards meeting national HIV prevention and care goals to include Quality of Life measures from the CDC Medical Monitoring Project (MMP) [2].
