Description:"Law enforcement officers include those working in corrections, policing, and probation and parole. Work tasks may expose officers to needlesticks and other sharps injuries, putting them at risk for hepatitis B and C (HBV, HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recommends steps for employers and employees to reduce the risk of sharps injuries." - NIOSHTIC-2
