Description:Worker exposures to beryllium (7440417) (Be) were surveyed at the Brush Wellman Company (SIC-3339) in Elmore, Ohio, from June 12 to 16 and August 21 to 25, 1972. A total of 215 personal and area samples were collected. The highest Be values were found at the powdering, compact loading, scrap reclamations, chipping lathe, and attrition mill areas, however, no workers were exposed to Be concentrations in excess of the threshold limit value of 2 micrograms per cubic meter.
