Description:We reviewed all cases of syphilis reported among pregnant women in Florida in 2018 for syphilitic reinfection. Nineteen (7.3%) of 261 pregnant women with syphilis were reported as reinfected during the same pregnancy. Timely rescreening and treatment prevented 6 (31.6%) of 19 reinfected women from delivering infants with congenital syphilis.
