      The CDC National AIDS Clearinghouse is the nation's reference, referral, and distribution service for HIV/AIDS-related information. The Clearinghouse collects, organizes, and disseminates materials and information on HIV infection to people and organizations working in the field of HIV/AIDS. All of the Clearinghouse's services are designated to facilitate sharing of information and resources on education and prevention services, published materials, research findings, and trends among Clearinghouse users. To accomplish its mission, the Clearinghouse offers a number of specialized services including:

      • Comprehensive reference and referral services

      • Access to databases

      • Electronic bulletin board (CDC NAC ONLINE)

      • Fax on demand service (NAC FAX)

      • Publications distribution

      • Business and Labor Resource Service (BLRS)

      • AIDS Clinical Trials Information Service (ACTIS)

      • HIV/AIDS Treatment Information Service (ATIS) Internet services

      Clearinghouse staff serve a diverse network of people who work in HIV/AIDS in international, national, state, and local settings.
