Description:"The 1994 National Institute of Justice (NIJ) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) survey asked State and city/county juvenile justice systems to report on their policies, programs, and data regarding HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases. In order to gauge the accuracy of central office reports, samples of training schools in selected State systems also completed an abbreviated questionnaire that focused on policies regarding HIV/AIDS and STDs." - p. 1
