Description:The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) developed the soil Screening, Health, Outreach, and Partnership program (soilSHOP). soilSHOP is an innovative community health education program that unites environmental scientists and health educators. The program uses their expertise and skills to provide one-on-one health education to U.S. communities. To protect public health, soilSHOP raises awareness about the hazards of lead and how to avoid exposures to lead in soil.
