Description:The first meeting of the Advisory Board on Radiation and Worker Health (ABRWH) was convened by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) in Washington, D.C., on January 22-23, 2002. All the members were in attendance, as were representatives of several federal agencies and interested members of the public. Welcomes were extended to the members by the Deputy Secretary, Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS); the Acting Director of NIOSH, which is an agency of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention within the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS)l and, the Director of the Office of Workers' Compensation Program (OWCP), Department of Labor (DOL).
