Description:How the scene has changed! In 1964 when the Public Health Service launched its national antismoking campaign, the war against a tobacco had just begun. The public health community had not yet identified the real enemy the tobacco companies with their deliberate strategy to addict Americans to nicotine. Instead, the publicity campaign blamed the victims.
