      Accepted cases total 111 at 12:00 Noon 5-26-55 (Table l), including CS]?ases accepted today. Of these 17, 9 were Cutter associated cases from Californiaa (8) and Arizona (l), which had been previously reported to PSU but were being held in the files pending further investigation. Of 5 new Lilly associated cases, 4 (2 from Virginia, 1 from Texas and 1 from Arkansas) shov non-paralytic and one was paralytic (a case from Louisiana which did not show correlation between site of inoculation and site of first paralysis). One uncorrelated Parke-Davis associated case was accepted from Illinois and two new non-paralytic cases from Nebraska, giving a history of innoculation with Pittman-Moore vaccine. These are the first two accepted receiving Pittman-Moore vaccine.

      Dr. Karl Larson, Rocky Mountain Laboratory, Hamilton, Montana, reports isolation of type 1 poliomyelitis virus from the stool of PSU Case No. Ida-H< from a contact only of PSU Case No. Ida-lU, and from both case and contacts of PSU Case Nos. Ida-12 and Ida-15. Dr. Larson also reports growth of type 1 virus from the stool of a Cutter vaccinated infant, who developed mild sore throat 3 days after inoculation.
