Description:"Recommended standards and criteria to prevent hazardous workplace exposure to ketones are presented. Information on the biological effects of ketones is included along with data on environmental sampling, analysis, and control. Guidelines for permissible workplace ketone concentrations, medical monitoring procedures, labeling and posting, protective clothing, and environmental monitoring and recordkeeping requirements are provided. Exposure limits are given for acetone (67641), methyl-ethyl-ketone (78933), methyl-n-propyl-ketone (107879) methyl-n-butyl-ketone (591786), methyl-n-amyl-ketone (110430), methyl-n-amyl-ketone (110430), methyl- isobutyl-ketone (108101), methyl-isoamyl-ketone (110123), diisobutyl- ketone (108838), cyclohexanone (108941), mesityl-oxide (141797), diacetone-alcohol (123422) and isophorone (78591).
