Description:Worker exposures to asbestos (1332214) were surveyed in April, 1968, at H.K. Porter Company in Middletown, Connecticut. Personal breathing zone samples in the mixing, coating and extruding, forming, hot pressing, grinding, and sanding, cutting, and drilling, inspecting, and packing, and miscellaneous operations, contained 0.2 to 22.4 million particles per cubic foot (mppcf), and general area air samples in the hot press and grinding operations contained 0.2 to 4.4mppcf.
