  The calibration of the automated digital time domain deflectometer (adtdr) units has been a persistent problem since the first tests that were reported in Bureau of Mines Open File Report 60-82. Several problems appear to center around the high-speed ecl logic timing circuitry board; therefore, tests were conducted in this area to isolate the malfunction and to evaluate potential methods for accurate placement.
