Description:As part of a U.S. Bureau of Mines effort to provide thermodynamic data on minerals and related inorganic compounds, the heat capacity of a-coso4 was measured from 5.3 to 300.1 K by adiabatic calorimetry, thereby extending the range of existing measurements below 52 k. The heat capacity of a-coso4 was measured previously from 52 to 296 k using an isothermal shield calorimeter. [Description provided by NIOSH]
