Description:Manual outlining good work practices for the electroplating industry, in order to educate the worker and prevent accidents and body contact with chemicals during the various electroplating operations. The main topics covered are: precleaning, including solvents, tank cleanout, safety considerations for degreasing operations, hand operated degreasing, cold cleaning operations; caustic cleaning, including presoak and electrocleaning; pickling; plating, including nickel plating, copper plating, chrome plating, zinc plating, iron plating, lead plating; minimizing accident possibility; worker contribution to preventing accidents; aids for safe working; first aid instructions; reference tables on the hazards of electroplating chemicals and on first aid procedures in case of accidents.
